Rob Manfred is a pencil-necked weasel

Manfred

Is the reason every club has to turn their logo to a gay flag and host a Pride night every June during which what should be the biggest month of the year for the sport.

Unless I’ve been living under a rock, the Rangers don’t do the pride stuff.

Meh, screw Manfred but a cap would probably benefit more players than it hurt. It's great right now for the stars, but with a cap comes a floor. If the bottom half of the league all had to up their payroll it would be a net benefit.

Small market teams thrive in every other sport. In baseball all you get is talk of how soon your star will end up in NY or LA.

Fans don't sit around wondering when Josh Allen or Joe Burrow is leaving town, but they know there is no chance Paul Skenes is still in Pittsburgh in 5 years. It kills those fan bases, and ultimately drags the popularity of the league down.

Jun 4, 2025 The Texas Rangers are the only MLB team that doesn't host a Pride Night, setting them apart from the other 29 teams

Rangers taking a stand is my singularly favorite thing about Texas sports.

No sports franchise or company should “have” to do it. Would it surprise me if Seattle or LA chose to do it? Not really. But making them do it is where my ire gets drawn.

Bryce Harper is a little whiny bitch. But his ire is going in the right direction here.

Definitely need a salary floor and a luxury tax.

The current situation is getting worse every year.

The only redeeming thing is the Dodgers will still find a way to blow it in the playoffs

You don't want a cap, fine, but at least put in a floor so some of these crap teams will be forced to spend some money.

The owners don't want a floor, the players don't want a cap.

Two of the biggest issues are Manfred and Tony Clark. They're both retards.

Failed to mention that Manfred didn’t back down and the conversation continued without this retard continuing to interrupt the meeting.

Probably more about him being in the clubhouse to begin with. The coaches barely even go into the clubhouse

Yeah, been saying thinking this after the last CBA was signed. The final out in 2026 WS may be the last of MLB that we see live for a bit.

The entitlement of these guys is astounding. I love sports but it's sad what our society has turned them into.
