How do we feel about this?

Watching this show “the hunting wives” and it’s all Texas this Texas that supposed to be set in a fictional east Texas town. Watching and it’s constantly referencing Texas things so I look up filming locations. Lo and behold it was shot in North Carolina.

I know it’s not realistic to shoot every show in the state it’s set in but if you’re gonna have the state constantly referenced throughout the show then at least shoot the damn show in the state.

Some say ‘same thing’ , but Northern Exposure (Alaska) was primarily filmed in Washington.

The Blind Side was based in Memphis, produced by Fred Smith's daughter who is a Memphian...filmed in Atlanta. I think that played a part in the lack of authenticity and Disney feel of that movie.

That’s right but it’s not nearly as obvious like some other shows.

This damn show is all East Texas this East Texas that and as someone who knows the terrain of East Texas very well I noticed it right away so had to look it up.

Open Range made Montana look absolutely stunning. Disappointed to learn the movie was filmed in Alberta, Canada. I'm sure Montana is still a beautiful state tho. Need to visit.

Its the norm. If that was something that bothered me, then I'd have a problem with nearly every film I watched.

I was crushed when I learned that Interstellar was not filmed outside of our galaxy.

Nolan is a bitch about this. He filmed the Batman movies in Chicago instead of Gotham City!

It’s basically impossible for the show Tracker to shoot in the portrayed location, because the main character travels to a different part of the country each episode.

Try shooting Bangkok for 60's Saigon. It's a pain in the arse and I've done it twice.

NOLA for LA in the Motley Crue movie was not good. They did their best, yikes. Trumbo did a better job.
