Is the lifestyle really much different North LA?

Seems to be really similar if not the same lifestyle as South Louisiana with different dialects. Is the food really that different than Southern neighbors? Fried seafood is still very prevalent. Gumbo and crawfish are very common. Might see less boudin in gas stations.
Family oriented, hunting/fishing, LSU sports, Mostly pro Saints aside from some of NWLA.

Not really.
Any arguments over who’s better is like a dwarf claiming superiority over a midget.

This doesn’t exist in CENLA much less In Funroe and Shreveport (Texas).

I definitely had crawfish in Monroe before. Hell it’s everywhere around Houston now too. It’s not really a South Louisiana exclusive thing anymore.
Same thing with Gumbo really but this can be ruined easily.

Swingers are swingers, north or south.

I’ve lived in both. They are different.
I worked for a statewide elected official who was from South La at one point in my life. They were campaigning in North Louisiana and they were going to do a fundraiser on a Wednesday night in Monroe. One of the people helping fundraise up there said nobody’s gonna show up, we all go to church on Wednesday night. That wasn’t even a slight thought in anyone’s mind from South Louisiana.
Just one example.

Only difference is North LA drinks South LA under the table all day every day.
Oh and fighting. coonasses are no match for us in the art of knuckle checking.

Born, grew up, & went to college in North Louisiana & lived in New Orleans for over a decade. It’s like two different worlds. North Louisiana is majority Protestant & South Louisiana is majority Catholic. Let’s start there. Contrary to popular belief you can get good food in North Louisiana. I can go on for hours about the differences. I love North Louisiana but if I ever move back to Louisiana I will move back to New Orleans.

North is WAY more Baptist

This is more tradition than reality nowadays. A lot of people don't go any more and some churches have stopped holding Wednesday night services. But schools still don't schedule activities on Wednesday night, for example.
The big difference I see is alcohol. Plenty of people drink, but it's not as in your face. You won't see a beer booth at most civic events and never at a church sponsored activity.

Country poor vs urban poor

Duck brah…..coonies can’t stand north Louisiana adding a little class to their low IQ culture.

North LA is a hellscape with all of Louisiana’s problems and none of its (extremely few to begin with) advantages.
North LA has nothing to offer but a bleak, barren landscape full of abandoned towns and speed traps. It seriously should not exist.

Is the lifestyle different?
Of course. Like night and day.
New Orleans certainly has its problems that are well documented on here on a daily basis. But it also has world class restaurants, Mardi Gras, the French Quarter, Jazz Fest and proximity to the Superdome and Tiger Stadium.
For better or worse there is certainly a different lifestyle here than in north Louisiana.
