Numbers look pretty good compared to a couple of other hall of fame safeties. Close in my opinion. It’s the pro football hall of fame, but what a career in total for the Honey Badger

I’m leaning this way. Hall of Very Good, but the numbers are way better than I originally would have expected

Hall of Famer in our hearts for sure. Still sucks his time at LSU was cut short, but he was still an impact player all over the field in the NFL.

Ty Law obviously has more rings and played a little longer but their numbers arent completely different.

I mean statistically he is on the cusp it seems. Didn't expect him to have stats that good.

His stats are fairly comparable to Law, polamalu, and Dawkins, including number of all pro seasons

TM having 4 all-pro selections and only 3 pro bowl selections intrigued me, so I did some googling and found out that a player being an all-pro but not a pro-bowler in the same year is much more common than I would have expected.

In the constant spotlight of very good Steelers teams. TM was stuck on the Cards for a while.

Honey Badger a legend but unfortunately not a Hall of Famer.., the comparison to Troy not apples to apples… Badger doesn’t have enough memorable plays compared to Troy

Absolutly should be a first balot HOF! Only ones who say he shouldnt be in are hating alabama fans that still are jealous of how good he was at LSU!

Honey Badger the greatest LSU defensive player ever.., he was mediocre against Bama though… Reid actually played better

Tangentially, two of his All-Pros were also the same season (2019, when he was named All-Pro as a defensive back and separately as a safety; sometimes the NFL has weird quirks like that on their All-Pro teams). He only had three distinct seasons in which he was All-Pro.

Hall of Very Good, not Hall of Fame.

One big defensive stat left off of that graphic is tackles for loss. Polamalu had 56 while Mathieu only had 16.

ETA: Disregard. Mathieu actually had 45. Fkn, AI

That guy was always roaming around the LOS looking like a starving wolf about to be let off the chain.
