Politico: 3 Scenarios That Explain the Epstein Debacle

I know many will take issue with the source but this article sums up the problem for Trump pretty well in my opinion. We are down to 3 pretty bad options for what's happening
Here's the TLDR 3 options for those who don't want to read the article
Here's the TLDR 3 options for those who don't want to read the article
quote:
The first possibility is that the most senior officials in the Trump administration — including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel — exploited a terrible child sex trafficking tragedy for their personal political and financial gain. Some of these officials, perhaps all of them, knew that there was no elaborate government conspiracy or cover-up surrounding Epstein’s crimes or his death, but they intentionally misled millions of Americans for years to make money, get Trump back in the White House or both. And now that they’re in office, they’re dealing with the mess they made.
A second possibility is that the Justice Department’s review of the evidence in the Epstein case turned up references to Trump — on something akin to a “client list” or otherwise — and that the government is now engaged in a cover-up to protect the president. This cannot be ruled out given Trump’s social history with Epstein prior to Epstein’s arrest; Trump has previously been referenced in public documents released in court cases surrounding Epstein, though Trump has not been accused of any wrongdoing in the matter. Also potentially notable is Trump’s hyper-defensive attempt to turn the page at a Cabinet meeting last week by claiming that the public needed to ignore the conspiracy theories and move on — a striking position for a man who is famous for his own conspiracy theories and never moving on from things.
Still a third possibility is that the administration has been telling the truth from the start — that officials believed the conspiracy theories they had fueled and are only now discovering there is no Epstein “client list” and no evidence that Epstein blackmailed anyone. In this scenario, Trump and everyone else were all just as surprised by these revelations as many of Trump’s supporters are, and now they’re struggling with the fallout.

I mean, ok. Yeah.
Option 1: they lied before and are lying now
Option 2: they told the truth before and are lying now
Option 3: they’re stupid
All fairly plausible tbqh

There's a 4th scenario they are not mentioning.
(and possibly a 5th or 6th scenario)

ah we're back to this now.

There's still another option: The files have been altered /destroyed and nothing is reliable anymore.

If its truly the third then the whole admin is fricking terrible at PR... Instead of Trump scolding people and making everyone look stupid for bringing it up, like its not a big deal, just explain.
"I, like most of you listened to reports and assumed there was a list. As we've gotten closer to it, there is no greater conspiracy and it is confined. We are going to redact victim names and publish what we can, but there isn't a greater conspiracy as I once thought".

They missed the most obvious explanation:
After a review of the depositions and material they found out the CIA and foreign intelligence were neck deep in this whole thing and were convinced by TPTB that revealing that would be such a shitshow that it was “better for the whole country” just to let it go.
Remember “he belongs to intelligence”? That’s your smoking gun.

Possibility 4: The Sweep
The Biden administration's DOJ and FBI have destroyed all relevant data, and littered the file with a lot of false or irrelevant data.

Or maybe they now have kompromat on enough of the government to bend it to their will.

There's a fourth scenario.
The Podesta email confessions were legit and the Democrats destroyed all the evidence during the Comey/Wray years and Bondi/Cash/Bongino are too ignorant to find and/or communicate that to the American people.

There are absolutely more than just these 3 scenarios, and in fact none of their scenarios are plausible.
Absolutely no chance there was no one in the government involved in a cover-up of Epstein's crimes. The part about his death I can believe.
This wouldn't be a revelation. Everyone knew Trump was mentioned a long time ago. These morons even mention that in the scenario. This was put in solely to make Trump look guilty of something.
It is very possible there is no "client list," but Epstein definitely blackmailed people.

Trump would love to say this... He is not saying this. He is saying there is nothing there, get over it.

Option 4: Epstein was an intelligence asset and they want to protect Israel and any other agency he dealt with.

It’s this.

They are protecting Israel, and Israeli assets within our government.
Out of 435 total members of congress, 331 of them are backed by AIPAC.
That means 76% of our congress serves 2 countries - AT BEST.

I'm going with this one. They really believed the lie that was being peddled by the influencers and when they saw the nothingburger, they quickly tried to act like they never believed it to save face.

And.. that is... ?? The blackmail angle?
4th: Other powerful people (or countries) are involved and putting pressure to keep list secret. Or it's been determined that it's better to "move on"
5th: List is being kept secret for blackmail and/or favors
6th: Evidence has been destroyed by FBI and is being swept under the rug to avoid black eye.
I'm not saying I believe any of these, but it we are going to discuss potential scenarios, we have to include these (and there are others as well)
