He would be a top 3 receiver at a lot of schools in the sec and he might get lost in the shuffle here.

I don't think we have 1 receiver that runs slower than a 4.4.

I think every receiver on our team runs slower than a 4.4. Maybe one or two exceptions on their best day.

Heard one of the radio types the other day say that no WR on the team runs slower than 4.4, that sounds unbelievable.

As far as Thomas I think he will used like last year as a 3rd down receiver that lines up in the backfield and even sometimes takes handoffs. He did good in that role when used and it felt like he was kind of underutilized based upon the success he had when used.

The only question on offense is the biggest one. Can the line hold up?

Will be interesting to see what group he lines up with on Day 1 of practice.

We have a few track guys that absolutely run in the 4.3 range. What are you talking about.

I think he was underutilized last season. But you could say that about several players under Sloan. The offensive approach has to get more creative and less predictable. Particularly in the run game and in the redzone. LSU left a LOT of potential points on the board last year...and they were still a good offense. If the OL can be decent, there is no reason this shouldn't be a top 5 offense.

Thomas, unfortunately, may get lost in the shuffle a bit because he's kind of the same player as Anderson and Brown. However, LSU SHOULD have the best return game in the nation. Thomas was 2nd in the SEC in KO return average (by 0.3 yards). Brown is the SEC career leader in KO return TDs.

His playing time will be interesting to me. He and Brown are the same type of player, and Anderson is also a similar

First of all, unless they are coming off a serious leg injury, all WR's speed is judged on their best day. Second - Anderson, Brown, Hill, Hilton, Thomas and Watkins have all run sub 4.4..

If they trust his ball security then he could thrive doing this and in the reverse game

Speed is great, but it means nothing if they don't catch and retain the ball.

If you have to move the pocket or roll out, get the damn ball down field. Include the TE's and nobody can cover LSU. The wide receiver group is the best in the country in talent and depth.
