Are young people easily impressed?

I see these types of videos all over. People recording themselves buying unimpressive street food (in this case, unsanitary fountain drinks from the back of a vehicle.) Are people "wowed" over the fact that simple shitty things happen outside of America?

That vendor wiped his arse with his hand just 10 minutes earlier

More that most are naive, gullible, and lazy. Quite a combination.

These kids do things to get clicks on the internet which can lead to money which they consider being a job even though they don’t know shite about anything. Damn, I used to have to mow lawns or help neighbors clean up their yards to earn a few extra bucks and these dudes will make bank over crap like this without lifting a finger.
They should be impressed about how easy it is to make a lazy buck nowadays. Heck, a decent looking chick can make bank just by taking pictures of herself, or someone can make money by posting a picture of their foot for crying out loud.
Sometimes the internet makes me want to puke…

I enjoy these street food videos, as well as your Kurt Caz's or SealOnTour, etc.. Different cultures are intriguing to a lot of folks
There's obviously a market for it if these guys have been able to monetize the content.
Maybe I'll record one next time I go back to Chi-na. The fried scorpion at the Beijing night market gets a solid 8.5 from me

When people of a certain age and higher complain about content creators of a certain age and lower it is clear they think the contect creators are providing content for the truth of the matter asserted when they are making content for likes, shares, subs and engagement.
The fact that I see people here constantly sharing hyperbolic content and labeling the creator as dumb or naive I just have the laugh that the content creator actually outsmarted the "smart" ones and has them sharing their content. Who is really naive?
The best way to view SM content is that 90% of it is simply for engagement, period. The likelihood the people sharing it actually belive it is much lower than most think. Anyone that has read the Fox employees' (especially Hannity) emails and texts that came out in the Dominion discovery knows it is all a front for engagement. This is true whether people are talking about serious things or some random foreign food vendor. Don't view it as anything more than mindless entertainment and you will be ahead of the game.

When I was a kid we thought pop rocks and pixie stix were cool. I think people on here forget what it was like to be young.

These kids do things to get clicks
And from what I hear, sometimes friendships can be strained if a person doesn't 'like' another person's photo on social media. How sad is that?
This is just one of many reasons I stay away from traditional social media platforms.

Nah they just know the formula to get people like boomers to click on their videos so they make money

I don't get the infatuation with street food nowadays. It all looks disgusting in a sweaty, feverish, explosive diarrhea sort of way.

Meanwhile there’s a thread here with ~50 replies about Buc-ee’s ice.

With every succeeding generation of adolescents and young adults, the average IQ drops by 10 points. So yeah, I’d definitely say that young people are easier to deceive and fool.

They will buy the most disgusting, unhygienic shite food from a guy in India and be like “oh my God this is Amazing”

No. They just seek high praise for mediocre performance. They'll post something that has no significance and expect everyone to "ooh" and "aah" over it. That's all most of the crap you see on social media amounts to.

And then lose their shite when they find a booger in their burger in America.
Ridiculous I tell you.

I suppose they pretend to be impressed, especially if it or they are featured on social media
