If Zion, Trey, Herb, and Poole are all healthy and playing, then I think that Willie might get fired at 14-16. If our top four guys are playing, then we should have a winning record.

I don't think he lasts 40 games if that's his record at that point.
Imo, he has a VERY short leash to start this season. Especially since it seems we will have Borrego ready to fill in.
10-20 he's gone. Basically if he's under .400 after 25 or 30 games, he's out.

Right... Just like Gayle mandated that Dumars trade Zion and Dumars traded him and didn't push at all.
Dumars is probably more than happy to have a scapegoat to start the season if things aren't going that well.
Downside if we fired Willie:
1. Dumars gets blamed for the new hire
2. We lose even more confidence with a new hire coaching like shite.
Upside to keeping Willi:
1. It somehow works out and Dumars looks like his decision making/ leadership is just way ahead of Griffin
2. We fire Willi after being bad which will atleast spark some comfort and happiness from fans. Even if we are doing bad, it would be morale boost.
Its just cya antics.
