LSU is a program that should make the playoffs every season.

If we can’t expect to be in the top 12 every year

Something is wrong

Just my opinion

This year, there should be no disagreement.

While I don’t like ultimatums….. Kelly said give him 3 years. It’s year 4.

Time to nut up or shut up, and it all begins with Clemson. Time to actually be prepared for the opening game

You cant have your 'best' team since CBK arrival, and not make an expanded playoff.

We should make it 2/3 years.

A quick google shows that Kelly is the 10th highest paid coach in the country

That means we should be at minimum a top 10 team every year

I’ll give some grace and say it should be every 2/3

But this year? Playoffs or bust

No excuses with this roster and these coaches. Barring catastrophic injuries, this team has to win.

100% correct. There's literally zero reason we should not be top 12 each year. I've defended Brian Kelly 90% of the time since he's been here but this is his do or die year. Playoffs or we have to cut bait.

I think every two years is a fair expectation at this point. There was a lot to clean up.

shite does happen, so I’m just thinking on average here… but top 12 roughly every two years is not unreasonable.

Losing week 1 & 2 losses in SEC will do that. This team should be at least 10-2 this year which should get you in the playoffs - especially if our 2 losses are to playoff teams.

Yet, year 1 was the closest he's been to the CFP at LSU (LSU was #5 in the CFP going into the final game of the regular season)

Since that time BK wasted one of the best offenses and QBs in LSU history by not being able to field even an average defense. That was followed by the fewest wins in a season during his LSU career.

The pieces are in place for a CFP appearance. The schedule isn't favorable, but no one is going to accept that as an excuse at this point. Obviously, the world of college sports has changed a lot since 2020, but the three prior LSU HCs...none of whom were as accomplished as BK when they were hired by LSU...won a national championship within 4 seasons. This is year 4 for BK. No one is even demanding a championship. Just a CFP appearance...an appearance that's easier to achieve (because of a 12 team playoff) than ever before.

Disagree on 2022. There were individual games that were failures like FSU, Tennessee and ATM but that team had no business winning the west and it was awesome. This season there is no excuse for not making the playoff and looking like our team has never played competitive football in the first game.
