Our elementary school library had a pencil vending machine that would spit out those pencils at random and never knew what you were gonna get. I lost so many quarters to that thing. Had so many Seahawks pencils I couldn’t give them away.

I don't remember a lot from 7th grade, but I'll never forget the day I saw a #2 Trusty (The weakest most flexible pencil) defeat a guys brand new Saints Pentech.
It was like a "Down goes Frazier!" moment.
Dude was so proud of his new pencil but people were like, "What's a trusty going to do to it?"
First hit it took it broke.

The pencil fighting got so bad in elementary school that the teachers had to start walking kids to their next class, lest the kids start pencil fighting in the hallways.
The big trough urinal in the boys room was littered with broken pencils. Male teachers would stay in the bathroom until class started to keep the boys from playing.
