Henry Sledge has a book about his father with previously unreleased material LINK

Just for clarification, it's part of the Addendum series. So, it's not a new long form podcast.

I just finished Eugene's book. He was a 60 mm mortar man. So there is little in the book about him directly fighting the Japanese. But there is every reason to believe he pounded them with mortars. He and Snafu rained hell down upon them.

This needs to be clarified in the title.
Nothing posted on TD gets me excited like the announcement of a new hardcore history episode.

Henry is a close personal friend of mine. I’ve known him for years. Great guy. I’m happy to see his book is doing well.

When's he going to release the next installation of the Alexander podcast? The people are ready!

I’m going to get “raped over at Kohl’s” for this, but I find Carlin tough to listen to. I’m not proud of this, btw.

Not worth a slight discount on Levi’s.

Jocko Podcast 491 had him on too. Very good listen.

Dan is getting into GRRM levels of absurd amounts of time between releases.

I can understand how someone would feel this way. I don't, but he kind of just fricking rambles. It's interesting rambling and as a rambling man I'm all about it, but i can understand how he wouldn't be for everyone.

Thank you so much for posting this episode. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Henry talk about his father and life growing up around Mr. Sledge. I think I’ve read WtOB 4 times now so I’ve got to get my hands on Henry’s book. In fact, I had no idea he published a book until today.

Has anyone here purchased episodes?
Can you download purchased episodes of HH?
I want to purchase all of his content, but hate the idea of it not being a hard copy.

Really appreciate you posting this - will definitely check this out. With the Old Breed is a top 5 book for me. I’ve read it probably half a dozen times and enjoy it each time.
Mr. Sledge was the epitome of a citizen soldier.
