For his trade decisions since he was hired? I've seen national folks calling him out but I haven't seen anything locally.

You won’t. Buddy D was the last journalist with any spine in NOLA. The vast majority today carry Gayle’s water around town fearful of losing access if they don’t push the company line.

Most of our local media are soy boy reddit platinum consumer types. You won't see heat from them. They are typically in a competition with one another to see who can suck the most dicks.

I mean, there was a great article on substack by a local credentialed beat writer going into previously unknown details about draft night and painting the picture that it was wreckless allocation of assets with quotes from other executives. Its a writeup everyone is talking about; But no, nothing....erggggg makes me so angry.. yes feed my narratives!!!

Can we give him time to see the product on the court?

Some of you negative Nancys need a girlfriend or hobby. Give the man a chance. Go buy a LeBron jersey and wrap yourselves in it and suck your thumb.

Smart executives would do this BEFORE trading away very valuable future picks….

BEFORE is the key word here, and smart

We don't need to see the product on the floor to know the trade was a horrendous loss of value.

Maybe it turns out ok for him.

Still zero excuse to make the Pacers trade. He looks like an idiot for making that trade alone. No competent gm would make that trade until at least draft night.

True and yet it's the least bad of the two terrible trades he made last week.

That’s just “journalists” in general. The pompous nature of the job draws them in like moths to a flame. Sports journalism used to be an exception but not anymore

Who cares what the “media” thinks? There’s people who know basketball and have been in the nba and are actually in the business and you’ll get mixed reviews. Some people love that the Pels got Fears and Queen. Some people think they’re insane for making the trade. There is no “Heat”. This is a wait and see what happens. If Queen and fears become foundational pieces then this move sets them up for the future. If it fails Dumars will be gone. I personally don’t care what any media member has to say to be honest and not sure why anyone does. Sports media is at an all time low and an embarrassment right now.

Some people are just such sunshine pumpers that they cannot see how bad the trade was, risk-wise, regardless of the player we got.

Have not see one that does not think it was an insane trade.

For sure shows you how the internets who 'claim the NBA' because the analytics say so really know nothing. If the trade works out will be determined in the future, but right now Pels are catching up in talent for their division and are better than they were before the draft and FA. What it shows from the FO is that they are not doing a slow rebuild and want to get competitive quickly. I'm here for that.
