Been having it all my life. Never knew it was a thing until a decade or so ago.

Just live with it. It isn't that big of a deal.

A good diet, HARD exercise 5-6 days a week, and 8 hours of sleep a night

My aunt has RLS, fibromyalgia and adrenal fatigue

She says the only thing that helps is percocet

That shite is maddening! I recently read somewhere that it connected somehow to kidney disease. I started drinking a lot more water and mine seems to have improved. Time will tell.

I dealt with it for 15 years. Had to take trazodone before bed every night. Wound up taking L. reuteri probiotic and noticed I didn't need to take the medicine anymore. Don't know if it was the probiotic that cured it or not but it correlated. Haven't had RLS for about a year now.

RLS is a pretty big inhibitor to getting 8 hours of sleep

Whenever mine starts irritating me, I take an iron pill and that stops it.

I saw some videos about tying socks around your feet..sounds stupid but alot of folks saying it works immediately.

quote:

Tying a sock or wrap just below your toes is an interesting and potentially helpful technique for managing Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) symptoms.

How it works:

This method uses localized compression to trigger pressure points in your feet. These pressure points can help to relax overactive nerves associated with RLS, potentially calming the uncomfortable sensations and urges to move your legs. It's a form of foot compression that can be used to significantly reduce RLS symptoms.

You may have a more involved Disorder called Periodic Limb Movement Syndrome/Disorder...takes a sleep study to diagnose and is supposably helped by benzos or antihistamine sleep agents

Mine was brought on by insomnia. The trazodone calmed the nervous system but only for about 30 min. If I wasn't asleep by then, I would have to take another one.

I usually get it when I’m extremely fatigued or maybe dehydrated
It’s gotten so bad that I’ve walked around the block at 10pm
It seems to be less aggressive if i workout more often

It’s annoying as crap

I get restless arms/hands, worst shite ever. I usually get it when I take a PM sleep aid. So, I stopped, but still occasionally get it. I get up and do jumping jacks and pushups for a little bit, that usually helps.
