Just grabbed 2 chainsaws off the curb. Ordered carbs off Amazon $20 each. Fixed 20” and 18” bars. One had a brand new chain in a box with it.

Huge big arse shop van. Broken belt. $15. Fixed.

Mowers. $20 carb. Fixed.
Blowers. $20 carb. Fixed.
Weedeaters. Yup. You guessed it $20 carb. Fixed.

Dryer. Broken element. $50 fixed.
Washing machine. Broken pump. $30. Fixed.

I knows guys that ride around neighborhoods on garbage day looking for stuff people just toss because they are too stupid or lazy to fix it.

Thanks stupid/lazy people!

On Facebook marketplace and he’ll probably make at least $300 off of it all.

Good for him.

That is interesting. Most now are DD universal motors. There are some belt drive extractors with high static pressure using induction motors. What brand was it?

I got a couch off the curb in the late 90s when I moved into base housing. Big sectional deal with cup holders. Are we eskimo bros?

I know a lot of people like the OP who think they’ve been picking up these free deals left and right, but now have a bunch of shite they never needed that actually costs them time and money instead.

Congrats I guess?

This is like the male version of girl math.

I mean it’s not exactly a new phenomenon.

I want to see a battle when antiquetiger rolls up with his go pro camera and OP fights him over some old weed whacker.

I can unequivocally say that everything I’ve ever put to the road was a complete waste of anyone’s time who picked it up, but I appreciate their efforts nonetheless.

I thinks it more along the lines that people don’t have time or desire to repair things when they can afford to replace them.

Some of us have the money to not GAF and buy new. My time is way too valuable to be fricking around with carburetors. Sorry you’re poor.
