Food items that never go to waste vs food items you end up dumping out in some capacity.

I’ll start with Nutella.
My house ravages Nutella

But say saltine crackers, that shite will sit half opened in your pantry till ya finally get around to dumping it.

Never go to waste: Candy

Throw out: box of baby spinach. Always with the best of intentions when bought.

It’s almost always far more than you would need but they don’t sell much smaller containers of it.

Thats celery for me as well. Even if I fix a couple recipes that week with celery in them, I still don’t use all of the stalks. I almost always end up having to throw it out.

Hah…
I feel that to some extent, but my boys are picky. I cook almost every day, but do they like my meals?
No, they like mostly crapola.

To add
My 14 year old is 6ft and over 2 bills.
He is a monster

Funny you say this. Just last night I noticed two boxes of saltine crackers that may have been in my pantry since the civil war. I kid, but they've been there so long that I can look in my pantry and not even notice them.

My dogs get the spare celery. They love it.

Must be the age - my 14 y/o is 6 ft tall too but he’s only about 160

He’s as tall as the 18 & 19 y/o

Yogurt and lunch meat often go bad and get tossed. I eat a shitload of canned chicken from Sam's Club, so it always goes quick.

Never go to waste:
Homemade bread
Bagels
Chicken thighs
Ground beef
Yellow onions
A single bag of coffee beans will never make it more than a week in our house

Will waste every time:
Celery
Cilantro
Ice cream (we just don't eat it in our house)

Never go to waste... eggs, peanut butter, ice cream (my teen boy is a fiend)

Sometimes goes to waste... sandwich meat

Always goes to waste... I'll second the celery- always more of it than what we reasonably use in the timeframe.

Raspberries. Every time we’ve tried to get them they are moldy in 3 days.
