They cut that starter wedge way too short...

You can see the tree leans towards the house...

I don’t know why they had the rope on it just hanging loose

I don’t think it was planned, cause you can see part of the house was being renovated.

I hope so, but I bet not.

Most of the ones that actually are insured and bonded take trees like that right next to a house down in sections.

Yeah the good companies would use a boom to take it down from top in sections.

If I’ve got a tree that big that close and leaning towards my house, I’m on the phone with the license arborist insurance company that morning before work starts just to make sure payments and policy are current.

That doesn’t make any sense.

You’re supposed to cut from the top down in pieces after de-Limbing the tree.

More like Tree Bubba than surgeon.

I've seen a lot of videos where they cut a ledge and hollow out a big rectangle on the side away from the wedge to set up a big bottle jack and start cranking that thing up to help the tree fall in the direction they want.

I like how the camera pans to the area the tree is suppose to fall and then shows it collapsing on top of the house, destroying it...........

My thought too. No way you drop a tree that size without trimming it down first.

The whole reason they probably paid these yahoos to cut it was so it wouldnt fall on their house.

Yea i had one like that next to my shop.

They brought in a crane and took it down in sections.

Very clean and controlled.

We have a local crew that is known and very good. The owner is an old guy that can take cut tree sections and throw them on his shoulders and walk them out - strong as an ox.

They’re like a man made tornado. They come in, there’s a lot of noise and chaos, tear the shite out of everything and when they leave trees are gone.
