According to a very reliable source, the Catholic school girls in NOLA are told that it's completely normal, and on retreats they commonly confessed their indiscretions to each other. Don't know their definition or policy regarding "addiction".

It’s a legitimate struggle for many Christians, myself included. It’s a struggle of self-denial vs instant gratification. God created sexual pleasure for our benefit, but it’s difficult to keep that in the rails he intended, like so many other sins.
