If I'm taking a Friday off it's either to fish, hunt, or travel. Never understood people who waste PTO to sit at home and not do shite.

Hey buddy I'm sitting right here.
I'm taking tomorrow and Friday off. I'm gonna watch movies and run and piddle around in the yard, maybe even weedeat or drink a beer or two.
Nothing wrong with staying at home. Nothing wrong with that at all. Not even a little bit. Not one single ounce of wrong with that. None whatsoever.
I can't wait to piddle.

Occasionally, usually in the summer. It's pretty common (but unofficial) practice in the NE to do half days on Fridays in the summer.
Every now and then we'll go to the beach since our favorite spot is only 40ish minutes away.

I usually take off every other Friday to go to the Lake or hunting camp if it's hunting season.

I'd use all of my vacation time to stay home if the wife would let me. I love sitting in my backyard and doing stuff around the house. I'm not much of a sit around type, but I do like being home more than any other place other than the golf course maybe.

i took off a few fridays back in 22/23 to hit up the Nugget in LC
cashed out and left by 1:30 to make it back to houston to pick up the kids

But then Tuesday turns into Monday. If you take a Friday off, you get 2 Saturdays, Monday turns into Tuesday, Thursday turns into Friday.

I don't ever take them off.
I do knock off after noon a lot of the time, as do a lot of people I know. I'll triage stuff as it arises and there are times when I'm slammed through the day, but it seems pretty common everywhere in my experience.
Obviously easier if you WFH (at least on Fridays, which I do).

I'm working for four outlets currently.
I usually only write articles early in the morning.
May have to interview somebody at any day/time. And go on-location.
Work every day.
