As the championships start to stack up, it’s harder to separate out favorites.

2000 will always be the top for me, not only because of the team, but because I was in Omaha for every game with my dad.

2009 marked the return of LSU baseball after a bad drought. It was also the summer before my freshman year, so that one was fun.

2023 I think had the best pro talent.

The 90s teams were always on the tv at my house and I have some memory of those CWSs, but I was too young to compare them to these teams.

Which ones stand out to you?

2000. Those guys were the epitome of cool to a 10 year old

1997 just because they were the absolute best and most badass

2025 - not the most talented - had holes in places but played the best when it mattered

2023 I think for me, because the run was so fun and that team was fun to watch. It also helped that the CWS was loaded with great teams: Wake Forest, Florida, Tennessee. It made all of the games really interesting.

Out of the 90's teams probably 97 because they could turn a game around at any time because of the homeruns.

Honestly, this team I was the most business like and took care of business and outside of the Arkansas comeback it was a pretty calming because the pitching staff really stepped up.

93' for me. I went to High School with Todd Walker and played Dixie League ball on the same team with him for a few years, so it was pretty cool seeing him excel and win a National Championship with the Tigers.

We're really splitting hairs for this one, but if I have to pick one, it would be 2000. That team was just fun to watch, because you couldn't get those bats out, and they went undefeated throughout the entire postseason, SEC tournament included. And ending in a walk-off, of course. '96, I'm sure, is everyone's favorite championship game, but your question being favorite team, yeah, it's 2000, but they're all extremely close.

The 1997 team was on par with the 2023 team; and the best team I have ever seen at LSU. I would suggest that 1997 team might have had better hitters and more power. That was the height of gorilla ball right before they decided to start scaling back the bats. Literally that team hit so many home runs it averaged out to 1 home run a game. In a three game series, I would take the 1997 team over the 2023 team. That 1997 team was a buzzsaw and just had zero weaknesses. I think, Skenes would be a loss for 1997, but Floyd and Hurd would have been rocked by that 1997 team.

Sorry, I just can't decide. 2023 did hit different for me, as did this one, though. Maybe recency bias or the newer coach winning 2 of his first 4 seasons aspect.

1997. Had a friend on that team. Watching balls fly out of the ballpark like it was a homerun derby. I was a student at LSU.

Good times indeed.
