I remember activist Democrats putting together "Super Safe Sundays"" in Shreveport, as an attempt to give inner city youth something to do in the summer. They had to totally shut it down after two or three attempts due to repeated shootings (at Super Safe Sunday).

We had one of those Juneteenth shootouts in upstate SC... The Juneteenth part was the last line of the article, but I figured it out in the first part with 10 shot, 1 dead.
