Interesting comment about Iran on radio

This morning on America's First News they interviewed a stock market expert about how war with Iran would affect the market. Toward the end he mentioned that the best scenario would be regime change because Iran would become an economic force in the region with a free market democracy. He based this on stats of how Iranian immigrants have done in the U.S. That demographic does very well in the American business world.

“Regime change”
When is the last time they worked out for us?

I'm liking this current 'regime decapitation' model.

Regime change has worked so well for us lately…

He specifically said 'to a free market democracy.' When has that failed to improve things?

The problem with regime change is that you’re not going to get rid of the Iranian Guard. The IRGC have control of the economy and will refuse to give that up. The wsj had a write up of how entrenched the IRGC is in everyday life of the Iranian people. They even have a membership card to get reduced prices at the grocery store.

Regime change has been wonderful for Iraq. Just look at all of the modern construction taking place in that country now.
The people who live there are now safe and free and living like westerns

Last regime change that worked out for us was 1/20/2025.

We haven’t been very good at regime changes in the last few decades.

Look at the Lebanese people. They are in every freaking country on the planet with businesses, many of them successful businesses as well, yet look at their home turf. Still very 3rd world.

30+ years of civil war will do that to you.

Unless you are prepared to have a ground presence, IRGC would still have control for a while and they would enforce the mullahs will.
Iran is a complicated place overall. From the history that I'm reading, just removing Khamenei would not necessarily be enough. You'd probably have to eliminate more than a few Ayatollahs under him and deal with the underclass in the cities and countryside where their support.....and a lot of the IRGC members come from

On this board, opposing warmongering neocons makes you a neocon.
Because they think it just means "fake republican"
It's weird, I know
