Through 2 Games:
Anderson 7 IP 100 pitches, 60 strikes
Evans 5.1 IP 81 pitches, 56 strikes
Eyanson 3 IP 44 pitches, 32 strikes
Shores 2.1 IP 21 pitches, 14 strikes
Williams 0.1 IP 21 pitches, 11 strikes

•Evans is burned tomorrow after throwing 68 pitches today and also pitched in game 1

•Jay will want to save Anderson and Eyanson for the championship series this weekend UNLESS we are forced to an if necessary game on Thursday (then it’s all hands on deck)

——

Who do you trust to pitch Wednesday to send us to the CWS finals given our top 3 pitchers are unavailable?

I’d hope to avoid having to use Evans, Shores and Eyanson so they’re all 100% for the championship series. I’d put my faith in Noot, Cowan and either Rizy or Ware to get the W tomorrow.

At this point it's gonna be Noot or Cowan starting tomorrow, right?

Noot, Cowan, Rizy, Ware, Eyanson for middle relief to bridge to Shores, Shores to close it. Maybe even Schmidt to get a batter or two,

If Mayers is throwing strikes he has been good for an inning at a time.

just don’t sit him down in the dugout and make him find it again.

I assume we are going to try to steal 2-3 innings from Noot, 4-5 if is rolling and then come Cowen. Shores and Eyanson will be used if the situation to close it out are at hand. The next game would be all hands on deck with Anderson starting.

Shores has been super efficient. I think he’ll come in late tomorrow too.

Would like to save him for championship but you can’t take too many risks with lower end pen guys

Meyers is a inning at most guy. Even when he looks like skenes when he comes in, he is rick vaughn when he comes back out.

I noticed none of yall listed Primeaux

In all seriousness, I think he will see at least one batter to bridge the gap if need be

If there's a bottom of the order lefty at the plate I could see them bringing him in for a batter before handing it off to a longer reliever.

I would be floored if we make through Omaha without him getting on the mound.

Can’t wait to see one of these guys ball-out tomorrow with a spot in the finals on the line.

Johnny Wholestaff. Do what you can to win it and preserve for the weekend. If it goes to Thursday, you're gonna have to use someone.

bullpen game with Cowan as the key piece if he's on
I still think Arkansas is the toughest team left that LSU could potentially face and will be the biggest roadblock to title # 8

It really does suck using three starters to win two games.

If Cowan can throw strikes then this park is made for him. I feel funny saying that because until recently throwing strikes wasn’t an issue for him.

I feel like alot of reservation is because Cowen has been more than shakey the last few outings. If he was pitching like he was at the start of the season, we'd all be high fiving right now because in reality we are in a pretty good spot.

Damn I wish Arky could have used some more pitchers yesterday

Shores pitched 1 inning on Sat and 1 today. He will likely be used in closer role for any game LSU still playing in same capacity. Why would you say save him for the championship?
