The reason is, it's time to get rid of the current Iran, and reset the area dynamics.
We've had to deal with their funding of terrorism for decades now, we've had multiple "must hit them before they can do X" events. There has been minimal to zero international acceptance, they are at odds with not just Israel but with other Muslim countries in the Middle East. The Saudis don't like them, Saddam fought them. It's just time for them to go.

Peace in the middle east is possible. But it requires getting rid of the islamic republic. It is the epicenter of chaos and violence in that part of the world.

There are other ways if the other party in the conflict is willing to engage in good faith, values shared economic prosperity, values human life and liberty, etc. Iran does not. They are an untrustworthy and violent agent of chaos run by hardliner ideologues.

Absolutely, and this Israel aggression (payback for Oct 7th) is the catalyst, but what the world needs is for IRANIANS to force a regime change.
