With a win tonight, do we pitch Anderson Wednesday or hold him for a possible game one in the finals?

No. If we play Thursday you may see him though if the game is close late

If LSU's coach was Skip Bertman, Anderson would definitely be pitching Wednesday either in a closer role or long relief.

You're not pitching Anderson on 3 days rest. That is not even a question.

He just threw 100 pitches on Saturday, he isn't seeing meaningful innings on that short of rest.

Let's beat UCLA first then worry about it, but it would likely be the Evans show.

No Anderson Wednesday. If you lose Wednesday (assuming a win today), then likely Anderson Thursday.

3-0 on this side of the bracket and Anderson pitches game 1 of the finals.

If we win tonight you try to win this side of the bracket with everyone but Anderson. Cowan, Evans, Shores, etc. to piece a win. If we win that, Anderson starts game on vs. Coastal Carolina. If we lose that, Anderson pitches the elimination game.

we will need cowan to be great in this tournament and it may be in a starting role Wednesday if we have to use shores and evans today . if we can get a complete game out of eyanson or get him to go 7 innings and have a big lead where we can close the game with Williams or someone like that then that would be huge.

we would be able to use evans ,shores, and cowan Wednesday for multiple innings

Wednesday pitching is based on tonight’s game. How far does Ayanson go? How many pitches does Shores or Evans throw? Do you go to Willliams to try and save Shore or Evan’s for Wednesday?

The only definite is that Anderson won’t start Wednesday. Everything else is a toss up.

Never know if someone will step up with an Akenhausen moment. Conner Ware?

Would not be surprised if he would start and have a set pitch count. You keep his pregame setup the same, and then whoever you would want/need to get the other chunk of pitches can come out in relief (which they probably have done several times throughout the season) and hopefully close it out.

Unfortunately, if you do this you most likely have him on a limited pitch count if they make it to Game 3; but you have to do whatever you can to give your team the chance to get there first

Anderson would go Thursday just like Skenes did. In that scenario, he would be unavailable to pitch in championship series.

If you did you would never be able to recruit an elite pitcher.

If the 1927 New York Yankees wouldn’t pitch Urban Shocker on three days rest, the 2025 LSU Tigers sure ain’t pitching Kade Anderson on three days rest.

No way you pitch him Wednesday. You have to have him rested for a Championship Series.

Im 2023, did we play game 1 of CWS on Friday or Saturday?

I only ask because Skenes pitched both game 1 of CWS as well as the legendary Thursday elimination game against Lowder to get to CWS final. So I imagine we look at Kade starting Thursday if we end up getting to that point instead of him just being a relief pitcher.

NO ONE WILL BE SAVED FOR WEDNESDAY

Anderson won’t be used today, but everyone else on the staff is available and you go all out to win this game. 2-0 is about an 80% chance to win the bracket. 1-1 gives you about a 20% chance to make the CWS finals.

Today is the day to empty the tank. If you win, you have a game on Wednesday to play with if you have to rest some arms from Monday.
