Hadn’t flown in a year, sign said it was optional so I told them nah.

I opted in to bio recognition after I did Global entry years ago
Gets me to the front of line at Atlanta airport where I live faster than Clear.
Global entry requires this anyhow so nothing to lose
If govt wants to find you they will

Opt out all you want, but every major airport customs and security is tracking your face regardless of if you smile into the camera or not.
Customs agents at Denver already know your name as you walk up to their booth. This is such a stupid hill to die on, we are beyond the point of return.

Just so you are aware, if you have a drivers license they have your photo and you track you based on that just as easily.
Anytime you walk through an airport without a hat they can track you from the drop off line to the moment you step on the plane at any major airport.
Regardless of tsa precheck this is already a done deal, having that scan just makes it easier for them from a database standpoint.

Same. I also have global entry and precheck. The FBI already has my pics and fingerprints from when we traveled to Russia 3 times.

They have everyone's RealID image and/or passport image. When you look into that 'camera' at TSA it just does a probability scan that you are who you say you are.
