Man ive been so impressed with him, Gotta give coach Yeskie his props for development and getting him ready. He coming along at the right time. I didnt like Coach Johnson taking him out after that one inning but it all panned out. #Geaux Tigers.

His stuff is electric when it’s on.

Hope it continues, cause if he stays hot that’s a great arm to have.

I think what we have learned is he is a bullpen guy. When he can go full effort he is a Big League reliever just needs to work on his control and tightening up his slider.

Doing what CJJ did ensured the win and guaranteed that Shores can come back on Monday without issue. Evans too for that matter. It was the right choice.

You’ll see the MLB do it all the time with a starter, set up, and closer. And they’re playing every day

Ben was saying that about ucla. They will pitch their start 5 if he's doing good. Then a guy for 2 or 3 and another to close. They don't typically leave their starters in past 6

That first pitch gave me a bad case of the loose bowels. But then he started cranking out cheeseburgers. Dude ate the moment last night. We get him and evans like that all week I feel good.

They pitch basically by committee. Their highest strikeout pitcher only has 75 on the year.

He strikes fear every time he pitches. He either scares LSU fans or the opposing team. We don’t know which one will show up, lol.

His problem early in the season was that he was wild and couldn't land anything but the fastball so dudes were just sitting on it. If he can land the offspeed stuff as a strike he's a different pitcher.

Absolutely, I’m with you too. I was pissed when he took out shores, then almost lost it after the lead off single. I don’t think another 20 pitches makes him unusable Monday if you need him but like you said it all worked out, it’s why Jay is coaching and I’m in the couch.

Yep, the only pitcher in the clubhouse not available Monday is Anderson. Kade getting us to the 8th and then Shores and Evans making short innings set us up great to have everything available to stay in the winner's bracket.

Not to get ahead, but it's almost all about getting ready to try to beat Root again and not have to play Arkansas a third time for elimination.

All part of the plan. They're both still available. If LSU can get 7 or 8 out of Eyanson and win, it's a best possible case scenario.

This is not allowed on the Rant. You have to bash the players and the coaches to get attention here.

You almost lost it after a lead off single up 3? You may need to sit one out bud

When he threw that first pitch slider to the backstop, I think we all went, “Oh frick!” But he quickly blocked that out and started throwing straight gas!

He’s gotten better as the season went on after coming back from surgery. He should have a quick climb in the minors.

He scared the crap out of me after that first pitch. He settled in brilliantly after that though.

Jay did an interview I think it was on the Mic'd Up show a few weeks ago where he basically said (or at least implied) that he had him starting early on to ensure that he got regular, scheduled, reps. If he worked out as a starter, then great. If not, he would still be able to work through getting a feel for his stuff and turn into what we've got today. I think most would agree that he's still far from a finished product, but you can see that the potential is real, and real big.
