That looks like a fella that spent his whole life watching and trusting the 5:30pm evening news.
As MSM insidiously evolved into Leftist Pravda, this old fella was already conditioned to never doubt or question what the earnest talking head at the anchor desk told him every evening.
As a result, he likely truly believes open borders, trannies being celebrated, sanctioned reverse racism via DEI and perpetual war somewhere in the world to “save democracy” is as American and apple pie as it ever was.
He is probably convinced in his heart that right wing Nazi groups lurk in every corner and DJT is trying to install a fascist dictatorship.
I honestly don’t know where you begin the process of deprogramming such people. The decades of brainwashing has been damn effective on many of our fellow citizens.
