Do you think we will see partial annexation of Canada into the U.S. in our lifetimes?

Alberta seems to have a strong separatist movement that wants to leave Canada and join the U.S. They feel like they and all the other provinces and territories west of Ontario are disenfranchised and never to get to have enough political pull or influence in Ottawa to be able to achieve any of their goals.
Do you think Alberta and other parts of western Canada will become part of the U.S. during our lifetimes?

No. Nobody wants it.
Western Canada is very rich in natural resources, and mostly conservative. You don’t want that?
I just wanted to clarify that for the ignoramuses who chime in without thinking.

No, the whole thing is greatly exaggerated.

Decades ago I remember when the first Bush was in office and Québec was the one talking secession and the US stance was for the Canada to stay unified.

No.
Some of you people will believe anything.
This is the only correct thing you said ITT.

Manifest destiny has already occurred. Only way I could see it is if Canada itself allows the more based area to secede and Puerto Rico wants to be a state.

...compared to the other socialist, autocratic, and euro-centric Canadians. Compared to Americans, they are very liberal, like Minnesota and Washington are overall, and have tons of 1st and 2nd gen immigrants in the cities, not the people who tamed the wilderness and are able to support themselves on their own.
No thanks. Would have to run most of the Canadians out first and repopulate with Americans 1st.

It would be worth it for Banff alone.

British Columbia is just left of Washington and Oregon, in more ways than one.

Mostly.
SE.BC from Revelstoke/Golden down to Cranbrook and the MT/ID.borders is as conservative as areas of Montana/Idaho/Wyoming .

Hope not. We have too many socialists here now.
