Something must be wrong with my eyes that regular eye docs aren't catching. I've been to 2 eye docs over the past 4 years and every time I get new glasses, they improve my ability to see detail but my eyes stay strained all day every day, even after wearing them for 4-6 weeks. I still get really bad halos at night too. My last 2 pair have strained my eyes so bad after wearing them for over a month each that I went back to a pair that was 4 years old that strain my eyes less. Unfortunately, those broke recently and I'm up a creek.

On rx meds for dry eyes that work great
Tried regular and progressive lenses
Adjustments for astigmatism have been made 5-6 times.
No cataracts or retina issues

Do I have the eye aids?

If it’s not your eyes then it is idiopathic intracranial hypertension. If it is, it is the result of binocular vision dysfunction.

How many hours/day are you looking at screens? Either desktop/laptop/TV/phone, all included…

Try reducing those hours of eye strain and see how it helps

Well Dr Woo is retired, so probably Dr. Allen Pearce.

Dr. Haik is supposed to be excellent too.

If your astigmatism keeps changing and no glasses seem to work, you might have a subtle corneal condition and need to see a corneal specialist to determine if you have irregular astigmatism.

Now that Dr Fay Woo is retired, I'm seeing Dr Shaye Luckett. She did my cataract surgeries last fall, with great results in both eyes.

Would be helpful if you named said docs so you don’t get those as recommendations

I’d recommend Dr. Jong at Advanced Eye Center. She’s an Optometrist and focuses on how the eye works. I had terrible eye fatigue and glasses wouldn’t work and my ophthalmologist said he couldn’t do anything and referred me to her. Did eye therapy and it fixed my issues. Back to 20/20 vision and it’s stayed that way for 10 years now.

I once asked her if she was a Ric Flair fan. She wasn't amused.

You need an ophthalmologist MD. Not a Walmart eyeglass maker.

One is an OD, the other is an MD.
