He started noticing the odd look-alike or two at concerts back in 2021, emerging from the pandemic-era lockdowns.

LONDON (AP) — Londoners have reported thousands of sightings of Pitbull this week. With that bald head, goatee and suit, he’s pretty hard to miss.

On closer inspection, though, it becomes clear that Mr. Worldwide is not actually everywhere all at once — in his stead, those are clones swarming London, on their way to the O2 Arena to see him onstage. That goatee? Drawn on. That bare head? Bald caps, in lieu of a dramatic shave.

The phenomenon is something that has rapidly grown from a minority to the majority — or from a negative to a positive, as Pitbull is known to say. Unlike the celebrity look-alike contests that reward uncanny resemblance to the likes of Timothée Chalamet, Glen Powell or even Ernest Hemingway, it’s less about the ability to grow the right facial hair and more about the vibe. After all, the vast majority of those dressed up at Monday’s concert were women.

Me neither!

But- it looks fun and the world could use some levity from time to time.

Pitbull is a great dude. One time 4Chan influenced an online vote about what Walmart Pitbull should visit and they voted he should go to Kodiak Alaska’s Walmart and perform for their tiny population. He did it and gave those 5,000 people who live there the time of their lives!

I’m glad to see that he’s having this funny resurgent success today. Even if it’s in a kinda ironic way. Everyone just vibing and having fun.

ETA: Pitbull honoring his commitment to Kodiak:

OT bros always talking about how his music is terrible. Not every music needs to be philosophical, I'm just trying to have a good time

It's party anthem music made for fun.
He's doing better than anyone on the OT, so he must be doing something right.
I know I'm not playing at any of these cities this year.

Wait until next week when it’s the third world invaders marching. England sold itself to political correctness.

He's super energetic and puts on a damn good show.
Saw him a couple of years ago when he played at The Great Park a couple of miles from my house.
EVERYBODY was up and dancing in the stands the WHOLE show.

I thought it was about the 15 year-old girl here in Ark. attacked and killed a few days ago at an animal shelter by about 20 pits and part pits. Fourteen of them were put down yesterday.

Correct

quote:

Armando Christian Pérez was born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida, to Cuban immigrant parents. While growing up, he was strongly encouraged by his family to "take advantage" of the privilege of living in America, and the opportunities that came with it. His family has a history of fighting against the Castro regime in Cuba. When he was three, he could recite the works of Cuban national hero and poet José Martí in Spanish. He learned English by watching Sesame Street as a child. His father was largely absent from his childhood; his parents separated when he was young, and he was raised mostly by his mother

I have no idea why Pitbull is famous. It’s a Kardashianesque mystery.

I'm not a fan of his music but I would definitely go to a concert if someone gave me a ticket
