Anyone have suggestions on places to stop if I'm driving from BR to Omaha? Cool things to see, nice gas stations, etc.

You could try some of the truck stops if you’re looking to get lucky.

You’ll see a lot of dirt, which is really neat, because down here we just see a lot of mud.

Get with OpenlyGayDave and stop where he stops and let him chase you around until he gets tired or you get pegged.

Just drive it straight through unless you wanna hit a game in KC. Drive sucks. Get it over with.

Are you headed thru Shreveport and then up I-49?

Avoid I-49. It ends in Texarkana. Then US 71 to Fort Smith. Then pickup I-49 in Ft Smith to Kansas City, etc.
US 71 is a disaster…winding road, narrow, difficult to pass, many small towns/villages to pass through, tornado destruction in many areas.
