Dax Norris, interim UNO Baseball Coach is resigning. Led them to the conference tourney championship series. According to Kendall Rogers, was going to get the interim tag removed. UNO the university and the athletic program must really be going through it. Sad situation.

I met him when I camped at Bama baseball one summer. Pretty nice guy. At least he was to bunch of high school kids. Hope he catches on somewhere.

UGA just got a commitment from one of their better pitchers in the transfer portal. Was going to ask about Grant Edwards.

UNO just needs to shut down its athletic department. There isn't a reason to keep going by losing money for the last 30 years.

The whole university has significant financial issues. They really should suspend the athletic program.

It seems that UNO is going to part of the LSU system and will be LSUNO once again.

I wonder how that affects the athletic department.

Uno is a case study for what happens when you try to do everything on the cheap and hire garbage DEI administrators. Then, you’re a commuter school who has no appeal to good local kids and instead the majority of your student body is foreigners and local minorities who can’t afford it. UNO had its place in the hierarchy for what it was but is just another example of everything woke goes to hell. On top of that, you put athletics last and ruin what once was a proud department instead of making a competitive program the front porch to your university.

He hasn’t coached baseball in 3 years. Holy Cross fired him in 2022.
