Are the (Detroit) Tigers for real?

Best record in the league currently. I think they'll need some more top-tier pitchers other than just Skubal. I know they've expressed interest in acquiring Skenes but to this point the Pirates have turned them away

They still have him on a rookie contract.
As soon as he's eligible for arbitration they'll trade him for garbage.

I can't make this any more clear for these MLB casuals, the Pirates are not trading Paul Skenes for YEARS He's the only reason anybody is showing up to their ballpark.
We see players get traded at the deadline or in the last year of their contract to a contender in exchange for 3-4 players, 1, maybe 2 of them are future all stars in each of those deals. A contender would have to give up at least 3-4 future/current All Stars for a team to get 5 years of a pitcher like Paul Skenes.
It's not happening.
ETA: Does the new team get the Paul Skenes debut card as well?

They are for real. One game away from the ALCS last year. They appear to be better this year. Skubal is one of the best in the league, and they have others stepping up around him.

They're the best team in a highly competitive 4 team race in the division. Unlike most years where they were all shite yet someone had to win, leading the division and the league is no fluke.

If he decides he’s tired of swimming with a tire chained to him they’ll deal him eventually.
And to be clear, I’m not saying they will trade him tomorrow, just that if they were to shop him as he’s obviously frustrated that he’s having a hall of fame track career derailed by lack of run support and general loser owner mentality that the Tigers have a crazy young team with elite prospects that would make them a leader as far as who could provide the best offer if they decided to shop.
