Attended my friends DWI class

Last Night for two hours. As I stated in a previous thread, the class required you to bring someone to the class. What a joke. The class was “taught” by a lady in her early 20’s talking about life lessons, setting goals and overall life experiences. Huh? She literally has no credibility. That’s like me telling a bunch of NBA players how to play basketball. I completely understand if the court required you to bring someone to an AA meeting taught by an experienced person. It just showed me how broken the DWI system is. These requirements don’t help the person at all get better. This shite screams of MADD. Rant over.

Weird they make people bring a friend. So if someone can't get anyone to join them for 2 hours at this class they fail requirements needed from the court?

the entire thing is a money grab to make your friend pay for the classes not to actually get better
it’s the same thing with the pretrial diversion scam they pull for anyone who gets an MIP etc.

I've never heard of that. Why would they make you drag someone completely independent of the crime to your punishment.
That doesn't even sound constitutional.

Probably guarantees crazy girls lurking around. Any luck with “new friends”?

She isn't the one in a court ordered DWI class though

MADD was an idea that started out with the best of intentions but has devolved into a cash grab. MADD is still pushing for lower BAC limits of .06 and in some cases complete sobriety at .00 while driving.

No. They make you write a 3 page paper like you were fricking in high school

You actually have to do it twice with two different people. I would love to be a fly on the wall when these morons are deciding on what/how to teach class

I'd do this over a 2 hour class.
