JP Morrell is going in hard and dry on Hutson. The voters really messed up electing Hutson.

I honestly like the police chief there. I thought I wouldn’t but I think she’s done a nice job.

Hutson on the otherhand is clearly what I will define going forward as a “color selection”.

Again, not trying to be rude but how do you have two women leading crime stopping in the most violent city in America?

Wow that dude really laid it all out there. Not sure why the sheriff's office would need NOLA funds for those repairs.

I get a lot of what Morel is saying, but he should stop on the plumbing issue. Hudson wasn’t anywhere around Louisiana when the initial building was built and so she has no culpability. In the fact there was nothing in BRASS.

Unfortunately, it just hurts his argument and gives her potential opportunity to muddy the waters on who’s responsible for things.

I love seeing New Orleans suffer the consequences of shitty voting.

It’s amazing anyone with options to get the hell out of that shithole remains.

She’s still resisting getting into the system is why he’s pummeling her on it

I’ve seen reports posted here showing NOLA doing better in certain areas. As long as positive strides are being made and improved upon I say that’s a good job.

This job has to be incredibly hard. We are talking NOLA. It is violent, historical and a big beautiful mess. Always has been. That’s why we all love it.

When you run for office to lead an organization, it doesn’t matter what state it is in, or what problems occurred before your term begins….you accept responsibility for ALL previous problems. You took the job and all problems are now your problems.

She is fully culpable for everything wrong. JP knows the mess it is, and if she was a responsible sheriff, she’d be having off-the-record conversations on budgets and legal moves to make to straighten up the department.

As bad as Hutson is, I think her CFO is worse. She is way over her head and very quick to shed blame off of her own responsibilities.

44 checking accounts?!? As a CFO you should find that out within 2 weeks of taking office, at the latest…and deal with it. I’ll go ahead and bet she didn’t open 44 accounts, but my goodness, get it under control. That alone shows the utter lack of leadership and integrity these people possess.

Ok, my apologies. I was giving credit to Himmlers daughter prematurely, sorry.

What is troop Nola?

State police were finally brought back last summer

They had previously been successful but Latoya felt their presence was questionable optics and refused them for a few years

Anyone else laughing that a grown city official is wearing a transformer hat and captain America hoodie?

It’s a State Police Unit that Landry sent to the City to help out the understaffed NOPD. Troop NOLA is not handcuffed by the consent decree either.
