Honeymoon: 1 night overlooking Central Park then flying to Bermuda

I hope this a fair question, I've never posted on this board before, here's the situation:
In August I'm getting married to my beautiful bride. We are flying into NYC with a hotel overlooking central park the day after the wedding (arr. around noon) we have a car service scheduled to pick us up from the airport and bring us to the airport the next day.
We're limited on options of what we can do in NYC based on the timeline, the best suggestion I've considered is to hire a driver be contracted for 9 hours to take us around, see the sights we can, or drop us off and pick us up if we want to walk around anywhere, like in Times Square. I want to plan something cool for my future wife, she loves Broadway but we can't make the showtimes we looked into.
Any advice or should I go with what I know?
Eta: I've talked to the concierge as well, they said based on all factors that a good route

I said this on the OT thread too, but go to dinner at Le Bernadin

I don’t have much to offer, but Times Square is about the worst part of New York. So many people and so many tourists. Walk around the park or the neighborhoods/villages, The High Line, etc instead.

It’s fine to hire a driver, but keep in mind that traffic sucks in NYC. You’ll be stuck in traffic a lot.
That being said, the subways have gone downhill.
Suggestions:
Stick close to Central Park and you won’t need the driver or you can taxi. It’s one of the nicest areas of town.
Museums: The Guggenheim or The Frick Collection.
The Plaza Hotel.
Stroll through Central Park.
Shopping runs for a few blocks south of the Park on 5th Avenue.
Rockefeller Center isn’t too far south.
You’re not going to be able to see everything. Keep it simple. Whet her appetite for the City and then you can come back for a longer stay.

Benjamin’s steak house. It’s a mirror of Peter Lugar but higher scale. Another vote for drinks at The Plaza

If the weather is nice get tickets for one of those touristy double decker busses. Sit on top deck and enjoy unobstructed views. Probably much cheaper than the private driver and better views… sitting street level in NYC basically means looking at other peoples faces while you sit in traffic and they walk on the sidewalks and street
Those buses will bring you to all the main sight seeing places and constantly run , so you can spend as much or little time at each place
I’ve been to nyc many times and the double decker bus is my favorite way to bring people around if they have never been

Landing ah noon, I think you can make a Sunday matinee.
What else does she like to do? I wouldn’t necessarily look for touristy things to do since it is your honeymoon and you only have an afternoon.

A driver for the airport is fine, but it is much faster to take the subway around.

In NY grabbing an on/off tourist bus is actually a great idea. Hop on and off at stops around/in Central Park. At the N end do Cathedral of St John the Devine west side and Cloisters on the east. In the middle on the west is Nat Hist. East has Met, Gug and Frick (that's very big, mid and small). Also do a boat trip around Manhattan...or the ferry equivalent. Tavern on the Green in the park is supposed to be much better again...try it.
If not the subway, use Uber but watch the estimated durations. Sometimes walking is the fastest.
Bermuda is nice but pretty quiet compared to Caribbean. Do not rent scooters. Do take public buses. Open a Bank of Bermuda account while there... it's easy.

Great idea and highly recommend if you want to see or do a lot in a short amount of time.

Cloisters is on the Hudson (west) side of Central Park and is like 5 miles uptown

There's no shows at all or just not the ones she loves? I know broadway generally has certain show times during the week. My wife loves shows so if your wife does too I'd really recommend going to a show even if its not her top choices.
Personally if you are arriving at noon and flying out the next day, by the time you get to your hotel it will be 2. I don't think that's a ton of time to take a tour.
I'd probably walk around central park, get an early dinner, and after dinner drinks and dessert in your room.
You'll both probably still be really tired from the wedding, the brides are super busy the last 4-5 days generally speaking. So keep in mind she may not want to be busy.

Congrats. It will be hot. You can always get uber blacks and cabs. Always. Save your money and take wifey to bilboquet for dinner. Stay at the mark or Carlyle if you can. Sant Ambroeus for breakfast.

Tavern on the Green restaurant is in Central Park. It is worth a look at least.

Assuming you are arriving on a Saturday or Sunday? If Sunday I guess you are limited on Broadway evening options.
Taking that into consideration, skip the driver, (a combo of uber/lyft/cab black car will be fine), have a drink at hotel bar after checking in, hit one of the spots with a view (empire, one Vanderbilt, top of rock, etc, to take a cool just married picture), depending on weather pick one other outdoor activity suck as central park carriage ride, highline walk, or brooklyn bridge, pick a great spot for dinner, many recs on here, have a nightcap in your room overlooking Central Park, and rest up for your honeymoon and think about planning another NYC trip to do more.

Honestly, I would wing it for lunch, schedule a couples massage for the afternoon, dress for dinner, have drinks at the Plaza, take a stroll through Central Park or maybe toodle on over to the Met. MOA or the Frick, look at priceless works of art, and then have an amazing late dinner somewhere.
Y'all will actually be tired. A wedding is a blast but so so much work.
