Not sure which board this best belongs in…why no car board ??
Anyway
I have a new car and I would like to upgrade the audio system. Does anyone have recommendations for a shop/group that does this work in the NO/metairie area?
Thanks for any help.

i'll forgive that if they actually do excellent work.

In the past 2 years, I put high end systems in both my 911s—Corey at Prestige Audio & Marine on Causeway did both of the installs. They do everything from a $400 camera installment to complex custom builds and installs.
Give him a call.

I wish they didn’t get so complicated now. The noise cancellation is in the amp and I just don’t wanna fool with that anymore. My system in my Ram 1500 limited is good but not the level of my old vehicle that I put a system in but deal with it bc of the complexity.

I mean, what kinda car. The newer stuff from nicer brands can't really be messed with.

All I know is I would pick up a nice front and rear dashcam setup and have them hard wire that in while they've got everything pulled apart to run wire.

I would pass on using Mobile One on Clearview, seemed too expensive last time I was there many years ago

In 1999, yes. The amount of shite you have to disassemble to get to almost anything these days is ridiculous. DIY-er may take five hours to do what a shop can do in two, and won't have shims, spacers, etc., on hand unlike the shop.

Pretty typical of the industry. Most installers don't really give a shite about you until you are actually buying something, and then it's only a little concern unless it's clear you're going to spend a lot of money.

They did work on your newer vehicles with already decent systems then? I saw a previous saying some installers wont/cant work on newer systems.
My car has a 15 speaker lexicon system. Its not a bad system by any means but just isn't hitting what i want.
I'll admit i dont know shite about replacing systems. If they would want to replace only certain components or do a whole changeout, etc. Why im looking for recommendations on someone who is trustworthy and good at what they do.
