There are 3 different versions of Palantir out now.
Gotham which is used by the Intel Community and is ridiculously good at determining patterns and tendencies with terrorists and other enemies. US in Europe has been using it to predict Russian moves and calculate strategies for the Ukrainians. It worked well until a Ukrainian general got tired of listening to American generals
Foundry which is being used at both the Pentagon and DHHS for any number of things but dara collection and predictive analysis are the main functions.
There is also another along the same line as Foundry
All of them are data wrangling tools with an AI component

It's a powerful tool and I suspect a lot of what DOGE was doing was getting access to the data for Thiel and Karp. Remember, Thiel and Musk are buddy / buddy and Thiel gives a lot to Republicans.

No, Karp is a lefty, but one that calls out the woke stuff non stop. They actually had to put a lawsuit against the US government to be able to get work. So, I wouldn't say they are CIA but obviously work with the them and other elements of the government. I invest in Palantir and have watched pretty much every interview that Karp has done. He wants to ensure that the US is the top in AI. I see him as mostly one of the good guys. He is definitely not a fan of the EU either.
