WAFB
Looks like 25% tint will now be the legal amount vs. original 40%
I know some of the small town police forces have to be pissed at this.
Tint shops fixin to eat next week.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A bill that would allow darker window tinting on cars is headed to the governor’s desk. On May 28, 2025 Louisiana HB119, presented by Representative Daryl Deshotel, was passed in the Louisiana Senate by a vote of 38 to 0. The bill now heads to the governor’s desk to be signed into law. HB119 will decrease the minimum light transmission percentage allowable for the front side window tint of vehicles. This would allow for darker-tinted windows. Specifically, the legislation reduces the minimum light transmission for window tinting on front windows from 40% to 25%.

I'm pretty sure my truck is from Texas and has slightly illegal tint from the factory. In 8 years I've never been pulled over and never had an inspection station check it.

so glad he's working to fix the big problems we currently face in Louisiana...

Don’t sweat it. Like all the other laws on the books it won’t be enforced.

Cops just need to tell people to roll their back windows down on a stop. I'm sure that's racist according to some groups.

I thought someone posted a couple of things done with that recently. Not enough but something besides a no.

Tax reform - no
How many other items listed are also actually more than a No but listed as such because you don’t like it or him?

Well, the good news is that with my blacked out windows, i won’t have to worry about much.
Not that i do now but at least it will be technically legal after that

So this shite I’ve been told about “officer safety” regarding the cars I’ve purchased that had illegal tent is just that- shite? frick this crooked arse, backwards, shithole dump of a state and every POS, self serving politician and bureaucrat in it.

Our legislators. Tacking the big, important issues.

Landry trying to get the dark vote?

Who you vote for is important.
The public wants better education, better roads, lower insurance.
We get window tint and chem trails.

Trouble is, we were supposed to get a reduction in income tax with the increase in sales tax. We didn’t. We’re just paying more taxes overall.
frick Landry. frick the legislature. And frick this shithole state.

More meaningful legislation from this administration.

It’s about to get hell hot here again in the next few weeks. Tint will help, it it won’t erase long-era frick ups we are saddled with. We need a governor that can make Huey-esque changes but in the opposite direction to reverse the direction we are spiraling in.

Why do I have a feeling that this will cause insurance premiums to rise?
