I’m glad that I went to Hawaii already. I won’t be going back.
I hope this bites them in the arse.

They don't tax the tourism enough as it is?

Now 11% tourist tax, in the name of saving polar bears.

Welp, I won't be going back to Hawaii. Thought about it several times and started saving for it.
Whomp whomp whomp.
I'll travel to a friendlier state with a beautiful beach or national park instead.

I’d like to see the Arizona Memorial and the Missouri, but hey, there’s always YouTube.
That’s a lot of natives. Where’s the diversity?

It's just locals attempting to gouge tourists. Transparent shakedown wearing a filmsy virtue signalling mask.
You'd be a fool to vacation in Hawaii. It was already ridiculously overpriced before this. There are a gazillion different tropical locations you can go to that are just as good much closer and much cheaper.

Linking taxes to climate change exposes the BS.
There are also SAFER places to vacation at other than Hawaii.

Exactly. I bet the extra revenue (if there is any) won't be spent on the "climate".

More like
"The money collected from this tax(/scam) will lower the Earth temperature by .00000000000000001° over the next 100 years, which, of course, will save the entire planet."

Its not the tourist it's the locals that trash the islands

The correct answer is tariffs.

Been there once, and once was enough.
We should sell Hawaii to the Japanese.
