This feels divorced from the current rate environment...where is everyone sticking their cash / emergency fund?

Amex but I think they just went to 3.6

I have my emergency cash in I Bonds, but have additional cash in the SGOV ETF. Currently 30 day yield is 4.17%.

I just keep mine in capital 1 and its at 3.6%. Thought about moving it but it’s not worth it to get a couple hundred extra bucks a year.

Openbank by Santander is still 4.4% but I doubt it will be much longer

Exactly. I don’t keep enough in a savings account to make it worth chasing .4%

Likely shifting to SWVXX which has a 4.22% yield currently.

PCOXX is around 4.25% IIRC
ETA - 4.29% daily net, 4.28% 7-day net

VMFXX is currently at 4.2%. Guess we’ll see if it stays there much longer.

Cash that I need in 1-3 months, I keep in FDLXX which is currently at 3.9%.
My emergency fund is split between I bonds and t-bills which are earning up to 4.4% depending on maturity.

I went in the other direction and bought some SPHY, high yield corporate bond account to take advantage of rising corporate-bond yields.

Words to live by. You should be keeping the bare minimum in savings or a even a money market, so you have worrying, researching and moving money to chase a couple hundred dollars.

Comenity Bank has a HYSA earning 4.2
It's an online only bank, but I've had my emergency funds in there for about a year

Not really a valid option for any kind of traditional savings vehicle.

CIT Bank is still 4.1% APY but I’m guessing I’ll see that come down in June.

Snaxx if it’s over a million, SWVXX if it’s under a million. These funds have been rock solid and you can have your cash within an hour.
