I'm no gambler but wouldn't 100% mean it's dead certain it will happen and 60% is barely half a chance?

Wasn't last year supposed to be well above normal too? And it was actually dead quiet for most of the season until we had a few high profile high loss landfalls?

And yeah, I'd take that percentage the same way...60% chance of an above normal season, 40% chance of a below normal season...so very likely a "normal" season.

I can’t stand people who try to cause unnecessary panic in others. That’s what this post is.

It's because it takes too much energy to sustain. Has to happen quick

Speaking of hurricane season. What are the odds an active hurricane season will be predicted then late August they will then adjust their prediction?

In 1992 we went all of June and July without a named storm. We finally got one in August.

Naw. With climate change they just pop up overnight as a cat 5. You need to get rid of your f250 to stop this

Not my intent.
Just found that stat interesting.
Regarding the plan. Forethought and planning is never a bad idea.

I can’t wait for the annual “this will be a more active hurricane season than normal” from the experts

Every… single… year
