Is Kevin Durant still as coveted as media tells me he is?

I see every day some mock trade so another team can land durant. Giving up a shite ton of stuff. Do teams actually thinks durant is gonna bring a championship? He has failed in brooklyn and phoenix and essentially been irrelevant. Why would a team gut young players and depth for 1 old kevin durant?

I dont think he is that coveted anymore. I think there would be teams that are interested in him, but I dont see anyone giving up anything of significance for him.

Maybe a Houston, that feels like they are close, but they aren't going to gut their roster for him.

If he played his cards right, he could end up being Robert Horry. Bounce here and there and pick up some rings.

If.

They have to break that group up, so if you don’t want to trade Booker and can’t trade Beal(no trade clause) then Durant is really your only option.

I dont think he gets you as much as what Clips gave up to get PG, but he should still fetch a young player and a pick.

I’ve always wondered what the Suns were thinking with that Beal deal.

He could still be a deciding piece for a team trying to get over the hump. Teams like The Knicks, Nuggets or Pistons who play a little slower and need another bucket getter outside of their main star could use someone like Durant.

At the time, they were basically just swapping an aging CP for Beal who I think was 29-30 at the time. Looked good on paper, but him having that no trade clause would have been enough to give me pause.

He was 6th in scoring, this past season.

Sure, you don't blow up an entire roster for Durant, but he is far from irrelevant.

In Brooklyn and Phoenix, he has averaged 28 points, on shooting splits of 53/42/88, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

That’s still pretty elite

I thought with his build, and height, he could me one the best.

He's a very good player, but i thought he had another level.

He will be 37 this year and cost almost $55 million. Only good thing is he is a free agent after that.

The problem is very simple with a lot of these vets…the talent you’re giving up greatly weakens the team thus eliminating them to win a championship

yeah but it's empty....Brooklyn obviously he was better...he was younger and had Kyrie. but ultimately in a team sport he failed at both stops

I watched a lot of games, but had no idea he scored 26+ points a game this season. He was in, and out, of the couple of Suns games I saw vs. the Lakers & Golden State.Didn't seem like he played enough minutes in the games I saw to make that many shots.

Only Gilgeous-Alexander, Giannis, Jokic, Ant Man & Jason Tatum scored more points per game

He scored more per game than
Cade Cunningham
Jalen Brunson
Devin Booker
Damian Lillard
Stephen Curry
Karl-Anthony Towns
LeBron James

He played in fewer games than all of those guys except for Lillard.

PHX is on Booker more than Durant.
