Get tires at Costco or local shop?

Looking at Michelin lattitudes. $150 difference, Costco is cheaper. Both have road hazard although local is charging $40 for it on two tires.
Continental True Contact Tour54 is at the local store and slightly more expensive than the Costco Michelins. The Michelin has a 55,000 warranty v. 80,000 for the Continental.
Advice?

I’d pay more not to screw around at Costco

What vehicle?
You changing out all 4?
How long you plan to keep it?

My dad tried to buy his Michelins frm Costco last year. They fricked him around the day he was scheduled to get them
Installed. Only had 3 of the tires. He wasted 3 hours. He said never again.

Rent the same vehicle as what you drive and swap out the tires then return to rental. Badda boom badda bing.

I put new tires on my truck at Costco a couple years ago. Zero issues.

Advice?
The Costco tire center in Baton Rouge is impossible to get an appointment with if there’s a problem, and one of those chicks that works there needs an attitude adjustment.

I used Costco only for tires. Probably 4 sets for 2 cars now and love them. Nothing but great setvice

Check Sam’s in Madison too, Haze.

Bro, pick out your tires at Discount tire, ask for a price match if needed, make an appointment, show up and roll out 30-45 minutes later. They road force balance tires and don't upsell you on anything except windshield wiper blades.

Imho, Discount is *the* go-to tire store. Great service, price matching, and the almighty repair certificates. And I'm out of there in no time. A no-brainer if you have one nearby.

I bought my current set at Costco. No real issues and I just walked around the store while they were doing it.
Speaking of tires, am I the only one who never gets anything close to the tread life rating? I keep them rotated fairly on schedule and properly inflated, but man I've got 30k miles on a 60k mile rated tire and they are damn near into the wear bars already.

On my 2nd set. First set less than 50k with reg air. Second set have over 75k and used Nitro air.
Always had low pressure lights on first set. Never once on 2nd. Nitro keeps pressures steady and that matters to wear. I always rotate at oil changes too
You can tell what type air, nitro uses green caps vs black for reg air.

Discount Tire was way cheaper than Costco and 20 times faster.
