It Nickelback was a car company….it would be Nissan, who lost $4.5 billion in a quarter.

Nissan Motor reported a quarterly loss of more than $4.5 billion and said it will slash 20,000 jobs—more than doubling its previously announced plan—as part of cost-cutting efforts to turn around weak sales.

Wildly popular like 20 years ago…now nobody wants them.

Even if I wanted one….why would I buy something from a company that may not be around in a year?

Nissan will lay off 20,000 employees this summer after investing heavily on electric cars that aren’t particularly good and certainly not popular.

Not a fan of nickelback but pretty sure they aren’t going anywhere and have made plenty of money. I don’t even get what you are trying to do here

Nickleback is considered one of the best selling bands in the Era.

Was Nissan Started by 3 Candaian Brothers?

People who make Nickelback jokes in 2025 are lame. You’re about 15 years too late to be considered funny.

I think he’s trying to say that they were really popular 20 years ago but now no one likes them.

Which is still not necessarily a good analogy, because it’s become okay to like Nickelback again in the last couple of years.

With over 10 billion streams, 50 million albums sold worldwide, and 12 consecutive sold-out tours it is no question that Nickelback is one of the most prolific rock acts of all time.

I’d rather be caught at a Nickelback concert than be caught driving an Altima, or Sentra.

This might also be true.

So the OP is wrong. The Altima at least is actually far worse than Nickelback. They are more like washed up Madonna or deranged Brittney Spears.

The Frontier may be more like some has-been rockstar that only plays in second tier casinos. It's amusing but you have to go to a sketchy place to get it.

I can't think of a single market segment right now where Nissan is clearly doing well. The Sentra and Z sports car are decent but nobody is buying them. I'm sure the Z will be canceled in no time.

And after years of selling second rate cars to people with horrible credit..... most of Nissan's dealers are probably staffed by the worst employees in the business.

What decisions has Nissan made to loose $4.5B in 3 months?

Thank goodness because I thought he was saying that nickelback lost around 4.5 billions.

It would be hard for a band to recover that kind of money. Whew.

The hate for nickelback is weird. Are they cool? No. Are they super talented? Not really. Is Far Away a good song and you’re a bitter bastard if you turn it off immediately? Yes

How much does culture and social media effect them i wonder? You have the Altima trend that is akin to Subaru and lesbians
