Article presents it as a bad thing, but lenders being able to use credit scores to make sensible loans is vital for any functioning economy.
It’s concerning to me that more than 2 million people with student loans were expecting the pause to permanent

Who wants to give a loan to the guy who's delinquent on his previous loan? If they haven't been paying it off, they're probably going to screw you as well.
Deny. Deny. Deny.
Deny. Deny. Deny.

They were also given a month’s notice that the payments would resume.
People basically didn’t check their mail or email or answering machine.

They feel entitled to not pay their loans back. Did you see that video of the girl? You don't give loans to these people.

Example 764,932,619,304 of the abject stupidity of leftists.

Can you imagine having a discussion with that girl over something as simple as "where did you leave the fly swatter? Where is the fly swatter? Who was the last person to use the fly swatter?"

Risk parity can't be made by giving fake scores to some, simply for equity.
Doing so undermines the whole reason for risk assessment in the first place.

If you want a stable economy it is.
You are thinking that if people don't get loans they are not spending right? You don't create stability by giving out loans to any tom dick and harry.

Well, if WaPo reports it, it must be true. No bias there.

I am not a violent person but I would definitely hold her head under water until the bubbles stopped.

Curious what the relationship between student loan default and other debt defaults looks like.
I only say that because there are a lot of people who seem to think student loan debt doesn’t have to be repaid.

It's a necessary thing, whether good or bad is in the eye of the beholder.

Countless borrowers are suddenly being rejected for car and housing loans.
When you don't pay your current debts lenders become more reluctant to lend to you? No shite!?!

Real talk: I don't understand how they come up with those numbers. My parents are in the upper echelons economically--even in retirement they earned 2x what I did last year. Zero debt, multiple income streams, everything paid in full. But, for some reason, their score is 10 points lower than mine. Weird.

I bought a truck last month, credit score was 836, my educational loans have been paid off for about a decade.
