ETA: IMO it’s okay to make sure people know what Memorial Day is for and who it honors. That can be done in a helpful and respectful way instead of a lecture. But it’s one of the more important holidays in terms of what it means IMO. So because of that, I’m fine with people knowing what it actually is for.
