Why does it feel like we don’t have any iconic voices anymore?

Is it just because time hasn’t passed yet to look back on their uniqueness?
Take Robin Hood (1973) Disney for example
Phil Harris - Little John
Pat Buttram - Sheriff of Nottingham
George Lindsay - Trigger the Vulture
Terry Thomas - Sir Hiss
Peter Ustinov - Prince John
Roger Miller - Allan A Dale the Rooster
Brian Bedford - Robin
Damn that’s a whole roster of iconic voices, recognizable as soon as you hear them. Am I just being an old man get off my lawn when I say we have no more instantly iconic recognizable voices anymore?
I’m not just saying, oh that’s Brad Pitt! Or Oh that’s Matt Damon. I’m talking about unique accents, tones and ranges that these old cats used to have that have stood the test of time

We had James Earl Jones until recently.

We've still got Morgan Freeman. Some AI company owns James Earl Jones voice.

Once Morgan Freeman dies who we got? Robin Hood had 5 iconic voices in one movie. Feel like we’re toast

Michael Keaton
Jack Black
Jack Nicholoson
Adam Sandler
Johnny Depp
Samuel L Jackson
Voices are still as recognizable/variable as ever, it's how they're used.

I disagree but recognizing voices in animated movies is my greatest gift.

Part of what made the Disney renaissance animated movies so good were the casts. Go look at the casts for those movies. Some unreal collections of talent.

Ted Baxter - as John Lennon called it, the "Hello I'm from nowhere" voice
Noo Yawk
Like, y'know, the Valley
Everything else is considered foreign. Southern accents basically disappeared from Hollywood when westerns went out of fashion

H Jon Benjamin comes to mind.. has a great voice and is always recognizable

Because all of the fluoride they pump into shite these day has made men’s voices sound more feminine

That was the 90s, 30 years ago. Jeremy Irons was in the now defunct Batman series as his latest big time role. It’s over.
We’re hosed as far as iconic voices go.
Just give me a modern day Pat Butram. But alas, they don’t exist anymore

Older generations had such iconic voices not just in movies and tv but radio too

Will Arnett has Bojack, Lego Batman and a shite load of commercials.

seems these days they go for names over talent. Like Chris Pratt and Seth Rogen being the best choices for Mario and Donkey Kong

There's still some around. Like the big headed guy with a really deep voice does a lot of commercials and was a main voice character for the game Hunter: Call of the Wild (Layton Lakes region), he's been on sitcoms and in movies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXkIoBhIoTI Patrick Warburton on youtube
