But this is not a very complex case. Not sure if this Juge's bias can have a huge impact.
Not trying to minimize the ridiculousness of him being a judge in this case, just I feel his impact will be limited.

Exactly, he will decree the case is not about aiding and abetting an illegal, it was about the federal govt disrupting a courtroom in violation of law....and dismiss the whole thing.

After all he learned this technique from the USSC who seems to always dodge the 800lb gorilla in the room, rule on some obscure piece of a case....and send it back to the lower courts. Which is why we have all these judges playing cowboy.
