60 minutes is advertising Southern La as place to move to escape the blandness of the U.S.

No kidding. There’s a few LSU student rental houses in my neighborhood. It’s been something watching the carousel of license plates change from >90% Texas to NY, NJ, Maine, etc over the past few years.

If Louisiana wasn’t so corrupt and full of crime and corruption we would have turned into Colorado a decade ago.

I suggest moving to a fully “cultured” community along the coastline.

Be sure to have a party during hurricane season.

You guys don't get to do that. Louisiana's population has been declining so you should actually want people to move there.

I watched that band yesterday. They were pretty good but the lead guy is annoying as hell. I got tired of hearing about how coonasses are so much better than everyone else because of where they're from. It was like trying to listen to someone from NYC but with fewer brain cells.

ETA props to the band for doing solid pulls of Jameson straight from the bottle the entire set.

I recommend visiting Louisiana in July or August before relocating.

I was of mixed feelings seeing this.

60 minutes is a piece of shite show that has been caught MULTIPLE TIMES editing stories for effect and/or outright making shite up.

Happy to see South LA getting a positive spin.

What the hell is going on with that fiddle players hair? Neven seen a dreds on top of the head, shaved sides, pulled back into some kind of crazy man bun before.

I’m familiar with that guy, he’s a hipster with authentic Cajun roots who’s been bringing it to mainstream. He actually sees like a cool nice guy tho.

Weird, because CBS Sunday Morning News yesterday was in New Orleans and featured stories about New Orleans. 60 Minutes...also on CBS.

Someone giving $$$ to CBS to promote them on the network?

Don’t need Californians driving up the cost here too. Keep going to Denver, Nashville, Austin, and Asheville

People leaving a state can negatively impact the state's economy, tax base, and demographics. When higher-income individuals and businesses leave, the state loses valuable tax revenue and may experience a decline in economic activity. Additionally, the departure of younger, more educated populations can lead to an aging demographic and a less diverse workforce.

Because cities and states die, along with the quality of life there, when everyone moves away.

well 7 escaped inmates, plantation burning to the ground and a terrorist attack on NYE will certainly liven things up!
